Two Hope Baseball Players Named to NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team

Two Hope players have been named to the NCAA Central Region all-tournament team.

The Flying Dutchmen competed in the six-team tournament in Bloomington, Ill. winning one of three games.

Senior Nate DeVisser of Mattawan, Mich. pitched the team's only victory gaining a complete game 2-1 triumph over top-seeded Wartburg, Iowa. DeVisser tied a Hope single season record for victories (8-1) and posted a sparkling 1.61 earned run average.

Freshman catcher Eric MacKenzie of Alpena, Mich. was outstanding on both defense and offense. He threw-out four baserunners and collected a team-leading five hits in the series.
