Hope Teams Honored for Academics by MIAA

Six Hope athletic teams have been presented the Team GPA Award by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association. The award is presented to conference teams who achieved a 3.300 or better grade point average during the entire 2004-05 academic year.

This program, now in its seventh year, is administered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives of the MIAA member colleges.

The women's cross country team (3.43 gpa), coached by Mark Northuis, has received the honor for the seventh consecutive year. Other teams honored include women's golf (3.46 gpa), softball (3.34 gpa), women's basketball (3.32 gpa), women's soccer (3.31 gpa) and volleyball (3.31 gpa).
