The Hope racers included Brian Bredeway '02 and seniors Larry Figueroa of Holland; Kurt Goldsby of Rochester Hills; Jason Ruud of Muskegon; and Lauren Zahn of Saline.  Rudd took first place in his age group, and Bredeway took second in his.

Kurt Dykstra of the Holland City Council, who is a part-time member of the economics, management and accounting faculty, gave the official welcome and started the race.

"Everyone had a great time while raising money for the homeless of Ottawa County," said Lynne Hendrix, professor of accountancy and director of the accounting internship program.
