All-MIAA Soccer Honors Announced

Seven Hope athletes have been awarded all-conference honors in soccer by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).

Junior goalkeeper Logan Neil (Holland/West Ottawa HS) has been voted the most valuable player in men's soccer. He is joined on the All-MIAA men's team by senior mid-fielder Shaun Groetsema (Augusta/Galesburg-Augusta HS) and junior back David Whitaker (Vicksburg/Vicksburg HS). Groetsema is being honored for the second time in his career.

Senior defender Courtney Cook (Grand Rapids/Forest Hills Central HS) has been voted to the All-MIAA women's team for the third time in her career.

Hope's second team honorees in men's soccer are senior forward John Turner (East Kentwood/Est Kentwood HS) and senior midfielder Jeff Stusick (Stevensville/Lakeshore HS). Sophomore midfielder Lindsay Jipping (Jenison/Hudsonville Unity Christian HS) is a second team All-MIAA honoree in women's soccer.
