Hope Soccer Players to Honor Memory of Deceased Alumnus

Hope College soccer players and fans will honor the memory of former player Justin Bailey prior to the team's home opener on Friday at Van Andel Soccer Stadium in Holland. A 2010 graduate of Hope College and four-year soccer letterwinner, Bailey was killed in an automobile accident in Kalamazoo County on June 23, 2011.

Hope College will be co-hosting the Cal Bergsma Memorial Tournament with Calvin College on Friday and Saturday. On Friday, prior to a 7 p.m.game against Madonna University, there will be a tribute to Bailey. Team members will wear warmup shirts with Bailey's name and number (#5). Fans will have an opportunity to purchase a Hope College headband, a Justin Bailey trademark. Proceeds will benefit the Justin Bailey Scholarship Fund established at Hope College.
