Hope Special Education Grads Succeed in Job Market

All of the 2011-12 Hope College graduates with a Special Education major (Learning Disabilities and/or Emotional Impairments) are employed!

There were 30 graduates with this major. One is enrolled in graduate school and 100% of the others have positions in a school setting.

The graduates have landed positions in a wide range of geographic regions both domestic and international, including Holland, Hamilton, Zeeland, Grand Haven, Fruitport, Kentwood, West Ottawa, Byron Center, Niles, Portage, Midland, Chicago and surrounding suburbs, Arizona,  South Carolina, North Carolina, Colorado, Alaska, Illinois Maryland,  Virginia, Minnesota, Morocco, Niger and Guatemala.

Hope has a tradition of excellence in this regards. In the 2010-11 academic year the placement rate was 95% and in 2009-10 it was 94%.
