GIS Lab

A geographic information system (GIS) stores, analyzes, manages, and presents data that are linked to any geographical location (wikipedia.org). GIS includes mapping software and its application with remote sensing, land surveying, geologic mapping, aerial photography, mathematics, photogrammetry, geography, and other tools. GIS is an important part of land use planning, and environmental public policy making.
