About Hope College HHMI

Hope College has received support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute to expand Hope College's research opportunities since 1991. HHMI funding is used to support numerous different student and faculty programs, as well as research.

Current programs funded by the Hope College HHMI program are:

  • CSI - Center for STEM Inquiry (STEM stands for Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics)
  • HHMI Research Scholars
  • HHMI CSI Scholars
  • FACES - Fostering a Community of Excellence in Science
  • Course Development Grants
  • Faculty Research Grants
