Brief Biography

Ling-Ling (Lisa) Shih was born in Teipei, Taiwan and attended Tamkung University (in Taiwan) and studied at California State University at Sacramento, SUNY Albany, and Middlebury College. She also received a translation certificate (Chinese to English) from University of Chicago. Completed 2012 Mandarin for Future Mandarin Teachers Program at East China Normal University in Shanghai and “2011 Training Program on Teaching Materials and Pedagogy for Overseas Chinese Teachers” in Beijing Foreign Studies University. She has participated in national conferences, and translated more than 50 articles in the journal “Current Digest of Chinese Press” published by East View Press. Her research interests include computer-assisted language learning and Pedagogy in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language, Contemporary Chinese Society and Culture, and Modern Chinese Literature and Culture.
