- Travel abroad allows students to see plays on
international stages and to study theatre at European universities.
One popular travel opportunity abroad is a three week May term in Ireland,
led by Theatre Professor John Tammi.
- Students also have the opportunity to study abroad for a semster at a time. Most recently Isaac Bush ('09) spent a semester at the British Academt of Dramatic Art and
Rachel Wells ('07) studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in England. In the spring of 2003 Matthew Farmer (‘04) studied
in Liverpool at Hope-Liverpool University College, Hope College's sister school, taking courses such
as Theatre Production and Greek Literature and Drama. He also arranged
to take dance classes at the Liverpool Community Center for the Arts
and acted in a local children’s production. He strongly encourages
other students to study abroad if they have the opportunity.
