Fun or Interesting FactI went sky diving during my senior year at Hope. Also, I have swum in 3 different oceans (haven't braved the Arctic yet).
Favorite College MemoryThe day before classes began second semester of my senior year, my housemates and I watched all six Rocky movies (Rocky I-V and Rocky Balboa). After finishing the last movie, we drank a glass full of raw eggs and drove through the night to Philadelphia. We ran up the steps of the art museum, took a picture, and drove home, just in time for class.
Why I love HopeI grew up in Holland so I have always been a Hope College fan. I cheered for Hope sports as a little kid and I still love to attend any Hope sporting event. But my love for Hope really grew when I realized how my experiences in college were opening up the world to me. The professors at Hope learned my name as a student and have since become close friends and advisers. At Hope I was challenged to grow deeper in my faith and to love learning. As a result of my Hope education I feel I can go anywhere in the world and be successful and I can always come home and fit right in to the Hope family again.
Favorite Artist and AlbumThe Beatles. My wife and I met when I found out she inherited a huge Beatles record collection and she found out I had a record player.
Favorite TV Show and MovieWhat is Jeopardy and Forrest Gump?
Best thing about Holland, MichiganThe best thing about Holland, Michigan is the sense of community amidst ever increasing diversity. (Not to mention the beach).
