Individual
Weekday Visit
Plan to spend a minimum of a half-day on campus
to make the most of your visit. Morning or afternoon visits are available
Monday through Friday. The best time to visit campus is during the academic
school year, when classes are in session. In order to avoid campus
breaks
check the 2009-2010
Academic Calendar.
To Schedule a Campus Visit:
Call our Campus Visit Coordinator at 1(800) 968-7850 to help you explore your options. When
scheduling a campus visit you may choose from the following options:
 |
Tour
This walking tour, led
by a Hope student, takes about an hour. You will get his/her perspective
on classes, social life, residential life, and professor interaction,
while seeing some of the finest facilities around. Please dress
comfortably and wear your walking shoes! |
 |
Admissions Appointment
Admissions representatives provide information
on admission criteria, merit scholarships, the financial aid process,
academics, student life, and much more! Their goal is to help you learn
all you need to know to decide whether Hope is right for you. |
 |
Visit with a Professor
Learn from the experts about academic opportunities
in your area(s) of interest. Explore possible careers, research opportunities,
internships, and study abroad experiences. Learn what recent graduates
are doing. This is a great opportunity even if you are undecided about what
program to pursue. |
 |
Visit with the Office
of Multicultural Education
Meet with the Office of Multicultural Life staff to learn more
about the ways Hope celebrates racial/ethnic diversity
and academic excellence, providing
educational
and
developmental
opportunities
aimed at
preparing all members of the campus community to thrive in
a diverse and global world. |
 |
Lunch
If you're on campus during the noon hour, lunch
is on us! We can arrange lunch with a current Hope student, giving
you another opportunity to hear about college life. If you'd rather
have lunch on your own, informally observing student interaction
in the dining hall, that's fine with us, too. |
 |
Class
Observing a class is a great way to see our
dynamic faculty members interacting with students.
|
 |
Chapel
Experience Hope's vibrant chapel program. Chapel
is optional, but more than 1,000 students choose to gather regularly
for contemporary worship and an inspirational message. (Available
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 10:30am or Sunday evenings
at 8:00pm.) Sponsored by Campus Ministries. |
 |
Campus
Events
You may want to schedule your campus visit so
that you can take advantage of campus
events that interest you. Here are some links to help you discover
upcoming campus events: Athletics and
the Arts.

Accommodations
If you're looking to stay overnight, Hope has
its own hotel on campus. The Haworth
Inn and Conference Center offers a discount rate for your first
visit. Additional
lodging is available a short distance from campus. If prospective
students want to spend the night in a residence hall, we'd be happy
to set up an Overnight
Visit. Priority is given to high school seniors.

 |
Downtown Holland
If you have some additional time during your
visit, explore downtown Holland. Holland's downtown is nationally
recognized as one of the best in America. The downtown offers one-of-a-kind
shops, art galleries, and distinctive restaurants and is only 1 block
from campus. For more information about the Holland area, visit the Holland
Area Visitors and Convention Bureau.
