MIAA Standings

Flying Dutch Compete in NCAA Qualifier
Qualifier Results
The Flying Dutch competed in the MIAA's qualifier to determine who would represent the conference in the NCAA Division III championship. The Flying Dutch finished third in the four-team field -- 1. Olivet 322. 2. Saint Mary's 335. 3. Hope 340. 4. Calvin 359.

Flying Third in MIAA Fall Standings
By finishing third in the regular season standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) in the fall, the Flying Dutch qualified for the league's NCAA qualifying tournament in the spring. The top four teams in the fall standings (Olivet, Saint Mary's Hope and Calvin)advanced to the qualifier.


Charlotte Park and Brittany Haight
For the second straight year, senior Charlotte Park (Grosse Pointe/Grosse Pointe South HS) and sophomore Brittany Haight of Otsego (Otsego HS) achieved All-MIAA first honors as they finished fourth and fifth respectively in the seasonal standings. Park was also presented the league's sportsmanship award.

Flying Dutch Capture Rivalry Challenge
With three golfers shooting in the 70s, the Flying Dutch won the Rivalry Challenge against Calvin in record form. Playing at the Macatawa Legends golf course, coach Greg Stafford's Flying Dutch established a women's collegiate course record with a four-player total of 317 strokes. The previous course mark was 318 by Olivet in an MIAA Jamboree in 2009. Hope's two-day total was 652 strokes while Calvin's was 688.
