Buyback Titles with Low Value
Due to Web Access Code Issue
Textbooks originally sold with WEB ACCESS CODES pose a particular
problem at buyback since the codes can only be used by the original
purchaser. When feasible we try to purchase the actual textbook and
repackage it with a new code, but publishers often make that
prohibitively expensive.
The buyback price paid for these books is dictated by the cost of replacing
the access code and unfortunately is usually much
less
than
the
typical
55% we pay for reused titles. In order to give you as much as possible,
we will sometimes pay the wholesalers' price and then the books are
sent to campuses
that don't
require
using
access
codes
for their
courses.
More detailed information may be posted as buyback progresses.
BUYBACK will begin
April 26 and run through May 6.
