Putting Science In It's Place: Discovery and Responsibility

committee is excited to highlight three of the visitors coming
to our campus.
Opening Keynote Address
Gerald McKenny, Tuesday, Sept. 30, 7:00 pm in Dimnent Chapel
McKenny is a leader in theological ethics and biotechnology,
and the author of To Relieve the Human Condition (SUNY,
1997), a Choice Outstanding Book. He also published over
25 articles in Christian Ethics and biomedical ethics. He
is co-editor of the forthcoming, The Ethical (Blackwell),
and his current research in theological ethics focuses on
the problem of the relation of grace to morality in Kant
and beyond. McKenny received his Ph.D from the University
of Chicago, and has B.A. from Wheaton College, and his M.Div
from Princeton Theological seminary. He is currently Associate
Professor of Christian Ethics at the University of Notre
Dame.
