Hannah, former student worker
Hannah Kasperson majored in math education with a Spanish minor. She started working in our office in the fall of 2007 and is from Wheaton, IL. She studied abroad in Spain and enjoys spending time with friends and watching Chicago Cubs games. She loves the community at Hope and the focus on Christianity. Hannah did her student teaching in Zeeland, MI and graduated in May 2010.
Allison Templeton ('09) started with us in the fall of 2007. She is from Appleton, WI and chose Hope because the people seemed nice and the campus was pretty – everything just fit. Her major is Chemistry and pursues two minors, French and Management. She studied abroad in Nantes, France and LOVED it!! She enjoys playing ice hockey in an adult league here in Holland, teaching children how to ice skate, volunteering at Evergreen Commons in the adult daycare. She likes spending time with her friends and family, reading, laughing, and just being silly. One summer she interned with Source Ministries in Minneapolis. Allison graduated in May 2009 received an English teaching assistantship from the French government. She will teach in Montpellier.

Cory Warner ('09) joined our staff in January '08. She is from Portage, MI. She majored in Spanish, Management, and International Studies and chose Hope because it was a small liberal arts Christian school. In the fall of '07 she studied abroad in Santiago, Chile for five months. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her family and friends and ride her new longboard!
Ronna Warner ('08) studied Psychology and Religion. Ronna started in our office in the fall of 2006. When she’s not in class (or at CrossRoads) she is either spending time with her new husband. Yes, she tied the knot in August 2008. She enjoys reading, running, and going on walks. Her main reason for choosing Hope is the amazingly welcoming atmosphere, and the strong academics. Before her wedding, Ronna spent some time in France. She graduated in December '08.

Ann Frisella was new to CrossRoads in the fall of 2007 as our ad hoc photographer and is from Arlington Heights, IL. She was drawn to Hope because she felt it was a highly regarded, private liberal arts school with a Christian emphasis. Moreover, it was just far enough away from her hometown without being too far. She has declared Psychology as a major but is considering adding Management for a double major. She hopes to study abroad in her junior year, probably to a French speaking country to hone her French language skills. She enjoys outdoor activities, exercise, and yoga. Reading, attending movie theaters, and coffee with friends are further enjoyments.

Meghan Wind spent four years as part of our office staff and is from Canton, Michigan. She enjoys music, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. In the summer of 2005 she was able to go to Anchorage, Alaska on a Mission Trip and work with neglected and poor children. Meghan was a small group leader on campus and was also involved in Nykerk. In the Spring 2006 Meghan also worked directly with Professor Amanda Barton, FNP who orchestrates our Pre-Professional Health Program.

She spent part of her 2006 summer at Vienna Summer School and worked in a day care center.

Meghan graduated with a major in Social Work and Sociology, graduating Magna Cum Laude in May 2007. She plans to attend graduate school and is currently working at the University of Michigan.

Jamie Previch (now Burke!) also was part of our team for four years. She and Meghan were our first two student workers. She is from Adrian, Michigan. Jamie enjoys being with friends, painting, and venturing in the great outdoors. The strong Christian atmosphere on campus was her main reason for choosing Hope College. She stayed in Holland for the summer of 2006 and worked for us part-time as well as Ben & Jerry's ice cream shop.

Jamie graduated Sum Laude in May 2007 with a major in psychology and an art minor.

She spent her first year following graduation volunteering and taking graduate classes at Dale House in Colorado Springs, CO. She was married in the summer of 2008. And is back at Ben & Jerry's for awhile.

Kathryn McLean became our ad hoc photographer in 2004-05. Since we can't be everywhere all the time, we hired her to be! She provided us with photos for many events throughout her time here at Hope. Her main on-campus employment was with CIT.

Kathryn attended Vienna Summer School with Meghan and other friends in the summer of 2006

Kathryn graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2007 with a major in kinesiology. She will be pursuing graduate studies at Wheaton in IL beginning in the fall of 2007

Wesenyelesh "Wesen" Mulat began working for us in May of 2005. She even worked through the summer and will continue with us through May of 2006 when she officially leaves the halls of Hope. Wesen is a senior pursuing majors in Sociology and Women's Studies. A native of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, she hopes to attend graduate school in the United States and study medical sociology and social issues in Africa. She is involved in the Phelps Scholars Program, International Relations, Bible study, and intramural sports. Wesen plans to work for one year before enrolling in graduate school. She graduates this May, but will take one more class during May term and continue working in our office while here.

Wesen graduated in May but took a May term class and worked here during that time. She is now seeking employment in the Washington DC area.

Vicky Langshaw graduated in December 2006. Vicky worked for us during her sophomore year but mostly worked elsewhere on campus.
