Helpful Hints for New Students or Returning Students

Returning Students who submitted the FAFSA and SAF by March 1, 2013 can expect to start receiving 2013-2014 award letters June 1.

Income Tax Requirements for Verification: If the FAFSA process selects you to verify your tax information, a copy of your paper tax return is not acceptable. You can transfer your tax figures using the IRS Data Retrieval process when completing the FAFSA or as a correction afterward. Otherwise you must provide an IRS Tax Return Transcript.

UPDATE:
Because of the Sequestration Agreement, the US Deptarment of Education has ordered a reduction in TEACH Grant awards disbursed after March 1, 2013. If the reduction has affected your award, the Office of Financial Aid will send you a revised award letter. We currently are unaware of how this may affect the 2013-14 awards.

Are you considering moving off campus?
Living off-campus or commuting could reduce your need-based financial aid between $3000 to $4000. If you change your housing arrangements during the year, we will adjust the aid if needed
