Stewardship and Donor Recognition

College Advancement has established eight goals working to achieve good stewardship of resources and this desired impact of supporters. They are as follows:

• You will be known by the College and be recognized and familiar to college officials. Your record will be accurate and complete.

• You will be thanked. The thank-you will be timely and accurate.

• Your gift and support will be recognized by the College. Citations will be accurate and consistent.

• You will feel included. You will be invited to special events commensurate with your support.

• You will be well-informed by the College. You will receive communication pertaining to the use of your gift consistent with any restrictions.

• You will be remembered by the College. Signs, memorials, legacies and endowments will be reserved and recalled.

• You will be appreciated by the College. Your value to Hope will be evident and sustained into the future.

• You will know you have made a difference. You may expect evidence and assurance that your gift constitutes a measurable and meaningful benefit to the College and her students.

We at Hope College and within the College Advancement staff strive to steward your support and demonstrate how your gift achieves a desired impact. Our goal is that Hope College will nurture and affirm relationships with you who invest your resources in the college and, ultimately, the assurance that your confidence and generosity are well-placed, and beneficial to Hope College.
