Tips for Move-in Day
When you arrive on campus…
- The residence halls will open for move-in at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 28. RAs (Resident Assistants) will be present to check you into your room.
- You will find an Orientation Information Packet & Weekend Schedule in your room.
- If you do not get these materials, contact your Resident Director and he or she will make sure you receive a packet.
- If you are not living on campus, you may pick up your packet at the Hope tent outside the DeWitt Student Center between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday.
- Please have your parent(s) check in at Family Registration, located under the Hope tent outside the DeWitt Student Center. All pre-registered families will receive a Family Orientation Packet and any pre-ordered items at this time.
- If you are living in Gilmore, Phelps or Durfee Hall you are allowed to loft your bed. Loft guidelines and room dimensions are available to help you with the building process. It may be helpful to have sections of the loft built prior to your arrival on campus. And don’t forget your tool box!
Any questions, comments, problems or concerns you have during the weekend can be addressed at the Student Union Desk in the DeWitt Student Center.
