DeVos Fieldhouse Records

The Flying Dutch play their home games at the college’s state-of-the-art DeVos Fieldhouse. This page highlights player and team accomplishments at DeVos.

DEVOS FIELDHOUSE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The first Flying Dutch game at the DeVos Fieldhouse was a 94-55 victory over Edgewood, Wisc. on November 19, 2005. The game, part of a doubleheader with the men's team, was watched by 3,154 fans, a record for a Hope home women's basketball game. The first basket was scored just three seconds into the game when Jordyn Boles hit a jumper with an assist credited to Bria Ebels. Jordyn Boles led the Dutch with 17 points. The Flying Dutch made 10 three-point baskets led by Sarah Jurik's 4-for-4 performance.
  • The Flying Dutch posted a 14-0 record in their inaugural season (2005-06). Hope's basketball teams (women and men) were undefeated on their new home floor (32-0).
  • Senior All-American Bria Ebels was the picture of perfection in a 91-66 victory over Saint Mary's on February 18, 2006. She scored 23 points behind 6-for-6 shooting, including 5-for-5 from three-point territory, and was 6-for-6 on free throws.
  • Sophomore Carrie Snikkers established DeVos Fieldhouse records with an amazing double-double of 27 points and 23 rebounds (in 27 minutes) as the Flying Dutch defeated Cornerstone in a showdown of nationally ranked teams, 76-69, on December 13, 2008. She already had her double-double at halftime, scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in 14 minutes of court time.
  • The Flying Dutch surpassed 100 points at DeVos for the first time on February 1, 2006 in a 103-67 victory over Adrian. Three years later the Flying Dutch rolled to a 103-44 win over Kalamazoo.

  • Hope hosted the NCAA Division III Final Four at the DeVos Fieldhouse an unprecedented four times over six years -- 2008, 2009, 2012 and 2013.

  • A 77-game home floor winning streak came to an end on March 5, 2011 when the Flying Dutch bowed to Washington-St. Louis, 56-52, in an NCAA tournament game.
