Dance Marathon
March 7-8, 2014

This year’s Dance Marathon, a 15-year Hope College tradition of raising funds to support the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, established records for both participation and dollars raised. The total for this year's event, held Saturday, March 8, was $165,057.08. That's the highest total in the history of the event, topping last year's record of $139,041.43.  The 15-year total for Hope College Dance Marathon is $1,307,698.11.  This year also saw a record-high participation of 848 students, topping the previous year's record of 750.  Organized by Hope students, the 24-hour event is conducted on behalf of Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in downtown Grand Rapids, both to raise funds and to build awareness of the hospital’s work.

The Winter of 2014

Students, faculty and staff are enduring the most recent
"Storm of the Century". January, 2014 will go down in
history as one of the most interruptive in school history.

Thanks to dedicated employees in many areas,
the college was closed a minimum of time when compared
to other schools and businesses in west Michigan.
Here is a collection of campus scenes.
