Voorhees Hall Will Host Haunted
Hall on Saturday, Oct. 27
Posted October 18, 2001
HOLLAND -- Do you dare come out at night? Have
the courage to walk towards that sound you can barely hear
over your pounding heart? Are you brave enough to dare the
10th anniversary of the Voorhees Haunted Hall?
"Haunted Hall started to have fun and raise money
in 1991, and we're still having fun today," says senior
Laurel Morse of Danielson, Conn., who is chairing the
event's planning committee for a second year.
The Voorheesians, past and present, plan on
transforming the basement for those undaunted souls who will
come on Saturday, Oct. 27, between 8 p.m. and midnight.
"Have your nightmares finally stopped? We can fix
that," promises David Laswell, a former student who has
returned every year since the Haunted Hall began.
"If this doesn't scare you, you aren't human,"
claims sophomore Jessica Wagar of Petoskey, who dared the
Haunted Hall last year and has returned to help scare others
this year.
Admission will be $3, or $2 for anyone wearing a
costume. No one under 12 is admitted, due to the nature of
the Haunted Hall. Parental accompaniment is preferred for
those under 16. Tickets will be available at the door.
