Senior Vocalist Quincy Marr to
Present Concert on Saturday, Nov. 17

HOLLAND -- Vocalist Quincy Marr, a Hope College
senior and tenor from Gridley, Ill., will perform in concert
on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker
Theatre.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The program will be presented in two acts, the
first featuring musical theatre and the second a variety of
contemporary pieces. Selections will include "Bring Him
Home" and "Empty Chairs at Tables" from "Les Miserables";
"Wilkommen" from "Cabaret"; "Bewitched" and "Alfie."
Marr is a musical theatre major. He has been
involved in a variety of school-year theatrical productions
at Hope, including most recently Hope College Theatre's "The
Years" in September and October, and the student production
"Tissue" earlier this month. His other activities have
included Hope Summer Repertory Theatre and the Hope College
Chapel Choir.
He will spend the spring in New York City through
the New York Arts Semester of the Great Lakes Colleges
Association, and hopes to obtain an internship in casting.
After graduation this May he plans to live in New York and
pursue a career in theatre.
Marr is the son of John and Michele Marr of
Gridley. He is a 1998 graduate of Gridley High School.
The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. 8th
St., in downtown Holland between College and Columbia
avenues.
