HOLLAND -- Vocalist Quincy Marr, a Hope College senior and tenor from Gridley, Ill., will perform in concert on Saturday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The program will be presented in two acts, the first featuring musical theatre and the second a variety of contemporary pieces. Selections will include "Bring Him Home" and "Empty Chairs at Tables" from "Les Miserables"; "Wilkommen" from "Cabaret"; "Bewitched" and "Alfie."

His other activities have included Hope Summer Repertory Theatre and the Hope College Chapel Choir.

He will spend the spring in New York City through the New York Arts Semester of the Great Lakes Colleges Association, and hopes to obtain an internship in casting. After graduation this May he plans to live in New York and pursue a career in theatre.

Marr is the son of John and Michele Marr of Gridley. He is a 1998 graduate of Gridley High School. The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. 8th St., in downtown Holland between College and Columbia avenues.
