Visiting Writers Series Opens with Linda
Scott DeRosier

HOLLAND -- The Hope College Visiting Writers
Series begins its 2001-02 season writer Linda Scott DeRosier on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Knickerbocker Theatre.
Ms. DeRosier was scheduled to be joined by Clyde Edgerton, but his participation has been cancelled because of an illness in his family.
Joining Ms. DeRosier will be Hope College English professors Susan Atefat Peckham and Joel Peckham.
The Series' organizers are working with Edgerton to find another time to visit campus for a reading.
Music by the Hope College Jazz Ensemble will
precede the reading at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited, and
admission is free.
DeRosier describes her childhood spent in the hills of Kentucky in her book, "Creeker: A Woman's Journey." A psychologist, DeRosier
teaches at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont.
The Knickerbocker Theatre is located in downtown
Holland at 86 E. 8th St.
