HOLLAND -- The Haworth Conference and Learning
Center has been accepted as an Active Member of the
International Association of Conference Centers (IACC).
IACC is a not-for-profit organization which was
founded in 1981 to advance understanding and awareness of
conference centers as distinct and unique within the
training, education, hospitality and travel fields.
Only legitimate conference centers which meet the
26 stringent requirements for IACC's Universal Criteria are
accepted as members of the organization. The criteria are
designed to ensure superior quality in the product and
service offered by IACC member facilities. Examples include
being able to provide ergonomically designed chairs in at
least 60 percent of the meeting rooms, guest rooms with
adequate work stations for the occupants and a staff of
skilled conference planners to work with clients.
Located on the campus of Hope College, the Haworth
Conference and Learning Center is Holland's only downtown
hotel. The Haworth Center offers 50 guest rooms as well as
meeting and banquet facilities for up to 400 people.
