Religion majors at Hope choose a concentration in one of four areas: biblical studies, historical studies, theological studies, and studies in world religion.
Faculty members' areas of expertise and special interest include church history, Christian feminism, environmental ethics, medical ethics, Reformed theology, Roman Catholic theology, the New Testament, biblical Greek, the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible, and world religions.

The religion program prepares students to understand and navigate an increasingly complex religious world and provides them an opportunity to personally explore religious faith.
Many religion majors double major in fields such as Biology, English, History, Philosophy, Psychology, and Social Work.
Religion majors can study in Chicago[2] and Philadelphia[3] in programs that introduce them to urban ministry issues.
