Awards for outstanding performance during the 2004 volleyball season have been announced by coach Becky Schmidt.

The Flying Dutch posted a 19-14 season record and finished fourth in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) standings.

Junior Julie VanderSlice of New Era, Mich. (Shelby HS) was voted the team's most valuable player while senior Kelley Hutchins of Livonia, Mich. (Livonia Stevenson HS) was honored for her outstanding contribution to the volleyball program. Freshman Jennifer Ivanhoff of Flushing, Mich. (Flushing HS) was recognized as the most improved player.
