Hope senior punter Vince Scheffler of Chelsea, Mich. has been named a pre-season All-American by Don Hansen's National Weekly Football Gazette.

Chosen the All-MIAA punter last fall, Scheffler averaged 38.6 yards per punt to rank among the nation's top Division III punters. He has a career punting average of 38.4 yards and has not had a punt blocked in 89 attempts.
