Pitcher Andrea Adams has been voted the most valuable softball player in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).

Adams is one of five Hope players receiving All-MIAA honors from the league's coaches.

This spring Adams, a junior from Fairgrove, topped the MIAA in victories (8), earned run average (0.56) and strikeouts (59). For the entire season she posted a 16-9 record throwing a no-hitter, seven shutouts and three one-hitters. She set a Hope record for strikeouts (156).

Joining Adams on the All-MIAA first team were junior catcher Angie Bunker of Muskegon and freshman outfielder Meg Sheehan of Hudsonville. All-MIAA second team honorees were sophomore shortstop Kelly Kraft of Brown City and senior outfielder Rose Owens of Shelby.
