Hope sophomore Amanda Kerkstra of Grandville, Mich. (Calvin Christian HS) has been voted to the DIII News women's basketball All-America third team.

Kerkstra is one of only three underclassmen named to the publication's five All-America teams.

This season she was voted the most valuable player in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) as the Flying Dutch captured their second consecutive league championship and posted a 25-3 overall mark.

Kerkstra scored a Hope single-season record 451 points from her post position.
