The 2011-12 Hope College women's golf team is one of just 25 colleges nationwide to be presented the All-Scholar Team GPA Award by the National Golf Coaches Association.
Coached by Greg Stafford, the Flying Dutch maintained a cumulative 3.692 GPA for the school year to rank 13th.
Hope was second among the Division III programs in the top 25 listing and the only Michigan college or university team to be honored. Of note, the Flying Dutch ranked above Harvard on the listing. The highest GPA was recorded by Lee University of Cleveland, Tenn at 3.965 on a 4.0 scale.
The Flying Dutch were earlier named a Team Academic GPA award recipient by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
