The Office of Multicultural Education invites you to come celebrate Native American Heritage with keynote speaker Levi Rickert from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. in Martha Miller Fried-Hemenway Auditorium. He will give a compelling presentation on how American Indians have yet survived despite concerted efforts to eradicate their culture in a speech called “Kill the Indian, Save the Man: Yet We Survived.” He will discuss the Indian boarding school era; relocation of thousands of American Indians to cities; and the resurgence of American Indian culture. As the editor of the award-winning Native News Network, he has a front seat view into what is happening among American Indians today.
