Faculty and Student Testimonies
“An institution cannot
achieve academic excellence without educating its students
and leading them in a deep understanding of contemporary cultural
diversity issues that will impact their civic engagement.”
-Dr. Lorna Hernandez Jarvis
Psychology Department
“I have been involved with the Office of Multicultural
Education for two years through my involvement with Hope’s
Asian Perspective Association and working as an office assistant.
I have gained many skills that
I will be able to use once I enter the workforce, such as how to
better communicate in group settings, plan events and work with
diverse people. I have also seen all the hard work and passion
the Office of Multicultural Education has put forth in order to
fulfill their mission. They not only reach out to students by providing
leadership opportunities, but also host various programs to try
to build a bridge between the community and campus.”
