Seven fraternities and seven sororities exist on Hope's campus, emphasizing values including leadership, service/social responsibility, character, individual member development, brotherhood/sisterhood and faith. Most are local, with two national. Many of these organizations have a college-owned cottage which serves as living quarters and a center for activities. Approximately 11 percent of the student body belongs to these Greek organizations. Rush and new member education events take place in the spring semester.
