    President-Elect Matthew Scogin Photo Gallery

    On December 7, 2018, the Hope College Board of Trustees elected Matthew A. Scogin ’02 to be the college's 14th president. He will begin his service as president on July 1, 2019.

    Matthew A. Scogin Named 14th President of Hope College

    Matthew A. Scogin, who is chief administrative officer at the global financial advisory firm of Perella Weinberg Partners in New York City and has also held senior positions with both the New York Stock Exchange and U.S. Treasury Department, was elected by the college’s Board of Trustees on Friday, Dec. 7. A 2002 Hope graduate who is currently a member of the board, he will assume office on July 1, 2019.

    President Dennis and Betty Voskuil invited students to join them outside their home on Thursday, November 29, for the Lighting of the Tree and Christmas carols. Followed by a walk to the Bultman Center to enjoy more music, treats and cookie decorating.

    Vespers 2018 Photo

    The 78th annual Hope College Christmas Vespers was presented on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 and 2. The program of Christmas carols and anthems was presented by the college’s Department of Music and featured more than 200 performers in historic Dimnent Memorial Chapel.
