What do you find exciting or interesting about your major?

I have found that the complexity of life at the molecular level is an incredible thing to behold. It is exciting to have an opportunity to be involved with the developments of this rapidly expanding field. 

What are your career plans at this time?

To practice Medicine or to research in the field of Biochemistry and molecular biology

Describe your summer research project.

My research involves the isolation of pure fungistatic compounds from pioneer plant seeds of Monteverde Costa Rica.

What are some of your favorite activities outside of your school work?

Playing music, going to concerts and festivals, reading, traveling, etc.

What were some influences on your decision to attend Hope?

My decision was largely influenced by Hopes reputation for undergraduate research and its excellence in the field of chemistry. After visiting for the first time I found that the attitude and atmosphere was unparalleled by any place I have ever been.
