Senior Show: Out of Touch
April 6–May 6, 2018
In this collection of work, we explore individual concepts of humanity depicted in
both
2-dimensional and 3-dimensional form. Through a variety of approaches, we look into
the simplicity and excess of human form and human essence. By manipulating the familiar,
we reduce the figure into elements of structure, identity and nature. In our exploration
of the figure, we search for comfort, satisfaction and depth. As we search, we find
that there can be discomfort in the form in that it cannot always satisfy. The deeper
we look, the more we find that we are out of touch.
