Hope College has a rich history of welcoming younger students on campus to share, explore and grow.

Girl Scout Ambassador 
1–4 p.m. | $10
College Knowledge Badge
Ambassadors, college is just around the corner! Explore the ins and outs of the college application process with other 11th and 12th graders. Led by current college students, you’ll earn the badge, but take away so much more valuable knowledge! Fee includes live session and badge mailed after the event.

Cybersecurity Badges
Join our interactive session to earn the three Cybersecurity Badges! Computer safety is explored in an engaging and age appropriate way. Fee includes live session and three badges mailed after the event. Adults will need to be available during the session.

It’s Your World - Change It! Journey Day

  • Cadettes: aMAZE Journey
  • Seniors: GIRLtopia
  • Ambassadors: Your Voice, Your World Journey

It’s your world girls! As the leaders of the future, how do you form friendships and shape the world around you? Facilitated by college students, spend the day creating a brighter future. Journey requirements completed as part of the event. Take Action project will be started, but will have to be completed with the troop leader. Fee includes session and journey pin or patch mailed after the event.

Junior Journey in a Day

Agents of Change Journey
Explore amazing women who have shaped our world and practice teamwork to be effective agents of change! Take Action project will be started, but will have to be completed with the troop leader. Fee includes session and journey pin or patch mailed after the event.

Brain Awareness Week keynote

Mind and Brain: Engaging the Neuroscience of Mindfullness
B Grace Bullock, Ph.D., is a professional consultant, psychologist, research scientist, educator, speaker, science journalist, and author of the acclaimed book, Mindful Relationships: 7 Skills for Success – Integrating the Science of Mind, Body & Brain. Her research focuses on the use of physiological and psycho-educational interventions to build stress resilience across the lifespan.

Families welcome! Every half hour, a set of interactive, family activities to engage and explore our brain functions.

Middle School Girls Day
9 a.m.–noon | Free
Join the Hope College student organizations as they take you on a tour of science and engineering careers. Participate in hands-on experiments in fields such as nursing, chemistry, engineering and biology.

April 17, 2021

Outdoor Art Day
K–5: 9 a.m.–noon | $10
Middle/High school: 9 a.m.–2 p.m. | $15
Outdoors. Art. Exploration. In celebration of spring and Earth Day, all ages of scouts welcome to enjoy a day of earning their Outdoor Art Badges and an earth-themed service project. Keep your fingers crossed we can host this one in person! Badges mailed after the event if held virtually.

Summer Offerings

Summer Science Camps
Each year, Summer Science Camps provides hands-on, inquiry based learning for students of all ages. Camps run weekly with over 50 topics to choose from.
Awakening is a week-long gathering to explore faith, worship, your gifts and your relationship with God. For high school students going into grades 10–12 who are seeking to grow their skills and passions about worship and the arts. Are you a musician, an actor, an artist, a dancer, a sound technician or a philosopher? Take this opportunity to develop your gifts — and perhaps discover gifts you never realized.
Hope College Sports Camps
Hope College sports coaches and players share their time and talents with local youth each summer. Find your sport, ability level and passion, and come learn and grow this summer. View the camp listing
