Sally HoekstraTrade Book Buyer
Sally started work at the Hope-Geneva Bookstore during bookrush in fall 1989. While her role started as the buyer of books, excluding textbooks and special book orders, her job has evolved over the years and now incorporates many other aspects, including:
- Copyright permissions for course packs
- Alternative textbook materials for students
- Anything else that comes her way
- B.A., humanities/elementary education, Hope College, 1977
Immediately prior to working at Hope, Sally was a stay-at-home mom. After college she worked in the office at what is now Audio Scriptures.
Why Do you Love Hope?
Sally loves Hope because of the relationships she has built over the years with staff, faculty and especially with college students. They are amazing and so much fun!
Outside the College
Sally enjoys time at home with her hubby, Dave, and spending time with her two married children and twin grandsons. She also loves to knit and read.
