Nancy SmithChaplain of Integral Missions
Nancy Smith has been the chaplain of Integral Missions since June 2013. She organizes Spring Break Immersion trips and summer Integral Mission outreach opportunities for campus ministries. She also meets one-on-one with students.
Nancy finds pleasure in training student leaders for Spring Break Immersion trips. She has led Immersion trips for Hope College over the last 19 years, which has been a highlight of her work. She has received many blessings from each trip: the amazing people that she meets, seeing God work through individuals, churches and organizations, and the Hope students.

Why I Love Hope
Nancy loves Hope College and its amazing students. She enjoys spending time with students and is honored to journey with them as they experience different relationships — roommates, professors, co-workers, family and friends. We are designed to be in relationships. God desires to have a personal relationship with each of us, and He desires to walk with us through everything. Nancy treasures the opportunity to encourage students as they process and work through different relationships, struggles and choices.
Outside the College
Nancy enjoys spending time with her husband, Steven Smith, and her three adult children, Trevor ’09 , Macall ’15 and Shanley ’19. She also finds pleasure in spending time with friends, walking on the beach, learning about other cultures and traveling.
