Peter Vollbrecht has been a visiting assistant professor of biology since fall 2015. He primarily teaches human physiology.
AREAS OF interest
He specializes in neuroscience and obesity. In particular, he is interested in the role of the reward pathway in obesity. He often asks the questions: “Why do we keep eating even when our homeostatic needs are met?” and “Are some people more likely to eat beyond their needs?”
