Hope is blessed by a longstanding tradition of philanthropy and stewardship. We concluded the 2016 fiscal year with a strong outpouring of philanthropic support for the college.
Hope also maintained a balanced budget, as we have done each year for the last five decades. During this time, we have continued to grow our endowment and reduce our debt in additional efforts to steward our resources in a manner that best serves the college and honors those who have entrusted their resources to us.
Your generous commitment of time and talent and your financial contributions have enabled Hope to offer a superb academic program and an exceptional student experience.
The landscape of higher education is increasingly competitive, and the importance of a liberal arts education is increasingly commonplace at public and private institutions alike. Hope’s position in this crowded field continues to be unique and continues to attract superb students and employees. Our commitment to faculty-student collaborative research, experiential learning, interdisciplinary learning, faith formation, global and multi-cultural awareness, quality faculty-student interactions, a robust residential life program, and a commitment to service continue to be the bedrock of the Hope College experience.
For over 150 years, our generous supporters have walked alongside us to deliver Hope’s unique blend of academic rigor and co-curricular excellence in a Christian environment. Our Honor Roll of Donors demonstrates the commitment thousands of alumni, parents and friends have shown the college this past year. We are grateful to you for your continued partnership and thankful to God for the blessings He has bestowed on Hope College.
