Tickets are $5 each, and may be purchased at the
college's Campus Ministries Office, which is open Monday
through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office may be

The Hope College Gospel Choir started in 1970 as
an extension of the Black Student Coalition. In 1992,
Vanessa Allen and Darnisha Taylor became co-directors and
formally organized the choir.
The choir has grown from six student and faculty
members to 150 students in 1999. The growing choir became a
ministry of the college's Campus Ministries program in 1997.
The choir's members come from different backgrounds,
cultures and denominational experiences.
Darnisha Taylor continues to direct the choir. A
1994 Hope College graduate, she is a licensed minister with
the Assemblies of God Church.
The choir's assistant director is Pastor C.J.
Grier, who began working with the group in the fall of 2000.
