The spring season culminated a successful year of intercollegiate athletics as HopeCollege won the Commissioner's Cup for having the best cumulative men's and women's program in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).  Hope also finished first in the MIAA men's and tied for first in the MIAA women's all-sports standings.

            It marked the 27th time in school history that Hope has won the coveted MIAA Commissioner's Cup, the most of any member school.

            Eight athletes lettered all four years in their respective spring sport.  They were: Mike Billingsley of Birmingham (baseball), Candace Graham of Hudsonville (softball), Priya Malviya of Holland  (women's tennis), Tina Pike of Rochester, Minn. (women's track), Emily Schlitz of Potterville, (women's track), Megan Sheehan of Hudsonville (softball), Travis Young of Tustin (men's track), and Andrew Vlasak of Grosse Pointe (baseball).
