Two members of the 2005 Hope College men's tennis team have been named Scholar-Athletes by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Honored were Robert Dody of Whitehall, Mich. and Dustin Ruch of Zeeland, Mich.
The criteria for being named an ITA Scholar-Athlete includes maintaining a 3.50 grade point average or higher for the complete academic year.
An engineering major and three-year letterwinner, Dody will be a senior in the coming school year while Ruch, a business management major and two-year letterwinner, will be a junior.
Dody is the son of Jeffrey Dody of Jacksonville, Fla. and Mary Dody of Whitehall, Mich. He is a 2002 graduate of Whitehall High School.
Ruch is the son of Doug and Linda Ruch of Zeeland, Mich. He is a 2003 graduate of Zeeland High School.
