Eight Hope athletic teams have been presented the 2005-06 Team GPA Award by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
The award is presented to conference teams who achieved a 3.300 or better grade point average during the entire academic year.
This program, now in its eighth year, is administered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives of the MIAA member colleges.
The women's cross country team (3.50 gpa), coached by Mark Northuis, has received the honor for the eighth consecutive year.
Other teams honored include women's soccer, 3.54 (coached by Leigh Sears); women's track & field, 3.51 (coached by Kevin Cole); women's swimming & diving, 3.45 (coached by John Patnott); women's golf, 3.44 (coached by Eva Dean Folkert); men's tennis, 3.41 (coached by Steve Gorno), men's golf, 3.39 (coached by Bob Ebels); and softball, 3.37 (coached by Karla Wolters).
