Coaches Honor Jesse Reimink as an All-American
Senior Jesse Reimink of Hudsonville, Mich. (Hudsonville HS) has joined an elite group of Hope basketball players as a Division III All-American. Already named the player of the year in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Reimink is being honored as a second team All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and a first team All-American by It marks the fourth straight year that a Hope basketball player has received All-Americarecognition. Reimink led the MIAA in scoring this season (21.1 ppg) and became the first Hope player in more than a decade to average more than 20 points a game over the entire season (20.8 ppg). He was a three-year starter and achieved a career distinction of scoring more than 1,000 points (1,321) and grabbing more than 500 rebounds (597). Hope during his careerposted a 103-20 record. Reimink is a second-generation Hope basketball player. His father Ron, a 1980 Hope graduate also played for current coach Glenn Van Wieren. A geology major, he was also recently named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District first team.

Carrie Snikkers Named an All-American
Sophomore center Carrie Snikkers has been named a Division III All-American by the National Association of Women's Basketball Coaches and  She is one of 10 players honored by the coaches association and was named to the fourth team by She is the fourth Hope women's basketball player to be named an All-American, the third this decade. Snikkers of Jenison, Mich. (Unity Christian HS) was voted the most valuable player in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) this season. The Flying Dutch were conference champions, advanced to the elite eight of the NCAA tournament and posted an overall 28-2 record.

Great Lakes Region Honors
The Great Lakes Region's top Division III basketball players were both from Hope College, according to the popular website Senior forward Jesse Reimink (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville HS) and sophomore center Carrie Snikkers (Jenison, Mich./Unity Christian HS) have been named the region's players of the year according to a vote of Division III sports information directors.  Reimink and Snikkers were each named the player of the year in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).  Their respective Hope teams posted a cumulative 49-10 record.
