Two Hope College senior football players have been invited to play in post-season allstar games.

° Linebacker Zach Jones of Three Rivers (Three Rivers HS) will play in the 2nd annual D-III Football Senior Classic in Salem, Va. on Friday, Dec. 3.

° Wide receiver Kyle Dietrich of Gobles (Gobles HS) will play in the 13th annual Metrodome Division II/III All-American Bowl in Minneapolis on Saturday, Dec. 18.

This fall both players received first team all-conference honors for the second year from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). Dietrich set a Hope career record for pass reception yardage with 177 catches for 2,685 yards. Jones topped the MIAA in total tackles as both a junior and senior.

Hope has a history of players participating in post-season allstar games. The first was tackle Larry TerMolen who played in the Optimists Bowl in 1959. Several players participated in the Aztec Bowl which featured NCAA Division III football players against the Mexican National Team. Representing Hope in the Aztec Bowl were running back Brandon Graham, 1997; defensive back Todd Tester, 1999; quarterback J.D. Graves, 2000; wide receiver Brian Adloff, 2002; and defensive back Andy Snyder, 2004.
