On October 12, 2010 the Hope College men’s soccer team sponsored a Community for a Cure Purple Game against Olivet to raise awareness and funding for cancer research at Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids.

The event, “Kicking Cancer, One Goal at a Time!” raised more than $9,000 for innovative cancer research at Van Andel Institute, where researchers are looking for breakthroughs in the battle against cancer and other diseases.
