The Hope College Flying Dutchmen have been awarded the top-seed among North Region teams for the national tournament of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) when it is held in Holland from March 9-12.

Hope won the regular season Blue Division championship of the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference and as champions will advance to nationals without having to compete in the regional qualifying tournament.

The national tournament will be held at The Edge on Holland's north side. There will be 16 teams from across the country competing, first in pool play and then championship/consolation play.

Hope will open pool play against the University of Colorado (#2 from the Pacific Region), and then face the #3 seed from the Atlantic Region and then the #4 seed from the South Region. Game times are to be determined.

A year ago Hope finished second at the national tournament bowing to conference rival Saginaw Valley in the championship game.
